We at HealthyHabitsPlatform recognize that plans may change, and are committed to providing transparent and equitable refund policies. This document details the refund conditions applicable to our yacht rental services.
Before you book a rental, please examine this policy thoroughly. By securing a yacht rental with HealthyHabitsPlatform, you are confirming that you accept the refund terms laid out here.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Policy
More than 72 Hours Prior to Charter Date
Qualified for: Complete refund excluding processing charges
Processing Period: Within 5-7 business days
Processing Charge: €50 for transactions made by credit card
Requirement: Must be sought in a written format through email or phone communication
Between 24 to 72 Hours Prior to Charter Date
Qualified for: Half of the entire cost of the charter service
Processing Period: 7-10 business days
Processing Charge: A €25 deduction from the refund amount
Requirement: A valid cancellation reason needed; subject to administrative expenses
Less than 24 Hours Prior to Charter Date
Qualified for: Refunds are not available
Exception: Extenuating circumstances may be considered
Alternative: At the discretion of our management, credit for future charters might be provided
Requirement: Documentation is compulsory for emergency cases
Cancellations Due to Weather Conditions
Weather Guarantee
Your safety is our utmost concern. If our certified captain deems the weather conditions are not suitable for sailing, we offer the following options:
- Complete Refund: Offered if rescheduling is impossible
- Rescheduling: Change your rental to an upcoming available slot at no extra charge
- Charter Credit: Provided as a credit that is valid for one year starting from the date of the original charter
Assessment of Weather Conditions
The assessment of weather conditions will include:
- Evaluations of wind speeds and direction
- Wave heights and overall condition of the sea
- Forecasts related to visibility and precipitation
- Warnings and advisories issued by the Coast Guard
- Evaluation of safety by a professional captain
Timeline for Decision: Decisions regarding weather-related cancellations will be made at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
Refunds for Medical Emergencies
Exceptions for Emergencies
We acknowledge that medical emergencies might arise unexpectedly. The scenarios below may qualify for special refund consideration:
- Sudden medical conditions or injuries that lead to hospitalization
- Passing of an immediate family member
- Unanticipated military deployment or recall
- Jury duty or a legal subpoena
- Natural disasters impacting travel
Required Documentation
To process requests for emergency refunds, please provide the following documentation:
- A medical certificate or documentation from the hospital
- A death certificate (when appropriate)
- Official orders from the military
- Notice of jury duty or a court subpoena
- Emergency declarations or travel advisories
Refund Process: We aim to process emergency refund requests within 3-5 business days after we receive the required documentation.
Cancellations Due to Operational Issues
Issues with Vessel Mechanics
If the vessel you’re assigned encounters mechanical problems that are unfixable:
- Alternative Vessel: We’ll try to find a yacht that's comparable
- Complete Refund: Provided if we cannot find a suitable alternative
- Partial Refund: Offered if the alternative vessel has a different price point
- Additional Compensation: We may also provide extra compensation for any inconvenience caused
Inaccessibility of Crew
In the occasional event that a certified crew is not available:
- We will try to arrange an alternate crew
- A full refund will be offered if the charter cannot proceed
- Option to reschedule without incurring further costs
Processing Refunds
Mode of Payment
Refunds will be issued through the original method of payment:
- Credit Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: Processed within 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: Processed within 3-5 business days
Fees for Processing
Credit Card Transactions
€50 fee applies to cancellations made beyond 72 hours
Processing for Bank Transfers
A €25 fee will be applied to all refunds via bank transfers
International Transaction Processing
Extra charges may be incurred for transactions that are international
Credit for Future Charters
Provision of Charter Credits
Charter credits might be extended in place of refunds under specific conditions:
- Cancellations that occur late (less than 24 hours prior)
- Cancellations linked to weather
- Requests for voluntary rescheduling
- Disruptions in charter operations
Terms Associated with Credits
- Validity: Valid for a year from the day they are issued
- Transferability: Credits are non-transferable to other individuals
- Value: Equivalent to the full value of the charter (processing charges are not deducted)
- Utilization: Applicable to any charter that’s available
- Expiry: Credits will not extend past 12 months
Refunds for Incomplete Services
Interruptions in Service
If your yacht rental is interrupted or cut short due to reasons we can control:
- Refund will be prorated based on the unutilized portion of the charter
- Offer a credit for a future charter of the same value
- Additional complimentary services or upgrades might be given
Disruptions Caused by Guests
If a rental is prematurely terminated on account of guest behavior or violations of safety guidelines:
- No refunds issued for the remaining duration
- Full payment for the charter still applies
- Potential for extra fees to be added on
Resolving Disputes over Refunds
If you dispute a decision pertaining to a refund, you can:
- Ask for the decision to be reviewed by our management
- Supply additional evidence or information
- Seek a resolution through consumer protection agencies
- Explore legal options as permitted by law

Step 2: Furnish Details
Your refund request should include:
- Your booking reference number
- Date and time of your yacht rental
- Cancellation rationale
- Any supporting documents, if needed
- Your preferred method to receive the refund
Step 3: Awaiting Review and Processing
We will acknowledge your request within a day, assess it against the details of this policy, communicate the outcome within two days, and process any refunds that are approved in line with the stated time frames.
Important Considerations
- All applications for refunds should be made in a written form
- Refunds will be handled in €, regardless of the currency used for the initial payment
- It is highly advisable to have travel insurance
- This policy may be altered given a notice period of 30 days
- Refunds will be inclusive of applicable taxes and abide by regulations
